Tech day!
howdy john. i'm planning to be there for tech day (probably be the first day on the road for the season). i'll plan to bring some chicken cutlets for the grill if that seems ok. is it a big job to disconnect the saftey that won't allow the top to operate if the car is moving? anyhow, if there is someone there who can help that would be great. if not that's cool , just fun to be out and see folks again. also, if the top thing can't be done might want to do tranny fluid. what do i need? good brand? how much? thanks. see yall.
Bob there are two school's of thought with the tranny fluid
some use honda oem tranny fluid and others use GM friction modified fluid - the main difference is price Honda is about 5 bucks a quart whereas the friction modifed stuff is about 12 bucks a quart
whatever you decide you'll need two quarts - and you'll need new crush washers for the drain & fill
me - i am swapping to the GM stuff for the summer and i am using le-607 rear diff fluid as well
Since you're a member of nes2ko - I'll do your tranny fluid at John's

Bob, you might wanna scan the "oil journals" thread over in the under the hood forum for more discussion/details before you make a choice.
Oh, one other thing, folks, I ended up buying a few extra quarts of LE607 (diff) fluid if anyone wants to put that in. I've been running it for a year with no problem. You might not want to leave it in if you do very cold winter driving, though.
I have 3 of those super cool Hamp oil filters that I won't need anymore. Let me know if anybody want them at $5 a piece.
Oh, I have a new A/C air filter as well. You are suppose to replace it every 30-40k mi. or so. $20.

Since the clutch fuild is the same as brake fuild, maybe I can replace that, too
I will bring my Shitzizu (wrong spelling probably) grease with me. People, feel free to borrow it.
Oh yeah, anyone has multipurpose grease, you know for door hinges and stuff?
