Default thoughts on an 08 evo mr

So my brother just contacted me regarding a Mitsubishi EVO MR that he'd buy for me. I'd pay him back over time since I don't think cars should be gifts. It has the paddle shifters which are a bonus for me, but I'be never driven one and know very little about them. What are your thoughts on this car as a dd? any info would be helpful. If I ever nodded it, it would be very little.

Absolutely recommend it, I was considering selling my STI to get one, and you definately should snag it while you can. I have been on two test drives, the transmission is fast, the seats are comfortable, and the handling is superb. The hardest part is finding one that hasnt been modded to hell and back.

Evos are great cars, handle well and can be easily modded. Their forum isn't as good as s2ki but you can find lots of useful information on evolutionm.net after having an evo that lasted 160000 miles I can say there are lots of little cheap parts/bugs on it but the car is awesome.

As a second car with the s2k it's the perfect compliment. I got out of it because I needed something a bit less loud for the baby although she has only ridden in the caddy once. I miss my evo every now and then. Go for it

Well, if you decide against the car, let me know I may be interested depending on the color. I have been unable to find a good one locally.

i have a white evo x gsr that i bought new and to tell you the truth i was weary the MR's paddle shifted transmission. But now i wish i had gotten it. I've only driven one but i can say it shifted as fast a gtr shifts. The interior leaves a little to be desired though. little things like the sun shades that have no business being in a car sold for more then 10,000 dollars or the cheesy carbon-esque trim. those are my only real gripes. My car is on KW v3's with my own custom spring rates and enkei nt03's 18x10.5 +30 with BFG g-force t/a 285/30/18s and i'll tell you it without a doubt will out handle my old s2000 with similar mods. awd confidence is awesome. it'll also rape my old s2000 in a straight line. power is so much easier to make as well. get yourself a tune with ZERO mods and gain around 50 wheel hp. its common with a few bolt ons and the stock turbo to make 350-360 whp and about the same amount of wheel torque. I do miss my s2k every now and then and thats why im on the forum now checking out for sale threads.

Well the car was not as described and totally trashed. Ohh well. It was an impulse on my brothers behalf, no harm.
