cany anyone recomend a good tranny fluid?
I use Mobil 1 75w-90. Many prefer the LE-607 90w. The LE is prob a better choice if you store your car in the winter or live in a warm climate since it has a pour point -11F. The Mobil 1 has a pour point of -46C, I don't plan of driving my car in the winter, but if I'm forced to, I'd feel more comfortable with the Mobil 1 in it.

EDIT: Whoops misread that, for the tranny I used the stock Honda fluid. I went with the Honda fluid because supposedly there is some special additive in it to prolong syncro life.

Even though it says it resists oil and grease... from what I gather from reading some posts here and what my mechanic tells me, these pumps work great for a while, then the gear lubricants will eventually eat away the seals and it'll leak. If you want to hold on to it for a while, you might want to look into cleaning it up well after using it and possibly hitting the seals with a silicon spray. Just a thought, (and possibly overkill) but I'd prob do it just to be sure.
Hey Eric I found that too... I'll most likely clean it after use especially when using between diff and tranny.

This weekend is sort of bad.

Sat-party at charlie
Sun-Limerock maybe
Mon-Quality time with the lady

Actually, Sunday maybe a good day. Sveta wants to see some racing, but I am not a big fan of driving all the way to Limerock. Actually, I got a brank new grill. Sunday diff and trans fuild change may just work.

Any taker?

Funny, it looks like something I've seen in one of those Austin Powers movies.

"Believe me, it is definitely not mine," Austin Powers.

I know Jeff had a lot of success with a pump doing our diffs at the last fall fluids day at his place. I did my tranny a few weeks ago and just bought some plastic tubing from home depot for a buck. Some utility knife work on one of the tops to the fluids got the tubing through, and a liberal amount of packing tape secured it. It got my 2 quarts in... and a bit on my arms, but it worked. In the future I would spend a few more bucks on a pump, though. I used the OEM Honda fluid.
