I hear if you have a high-flow fuel pump that humming is like 5x as loud. I wouldn't know anything about that though, since my car is stock.

to prelube the engine in the spring from sitting you can unplug the cam sensors and crank it over till the oil light goes out

This will throw a check light that can be reset by disconnecting the battery

This is how we prelube every engine we build :thumup:


Onther thing is once it is put away dont start it every month , you are just adding to the wear and tear . just do this procedure when you take it out in the spring


To answer some questions , the humming noise is the Airpump pumping air through the head into the exhaust to warm up the cat faster

Teaspoon trick ?? Where are you going to put this teaspoon of oil to make a difference ?

i do the teaspoon trick to all my small engines - ie lawnmover, snow blower, generator BUT never my cars

ya the teaspoon trick is not going to prelube the cams and crank bearings

How i will be storing the s over winter

1 pull into garage
2 put on jack stands and remove wheels
3 pull motor and tranny out and put in warm area in garage.
4 remove coil overs to have re valved
5 pull motor apart to add goodies and send head out
6 secrets =0)
