I decided to trade in my baby 2001 Grand Prix White S2000 with hardtop for a 2004 G35 Black Obsidian Coupe 6 speed. I am not sure if it was the right thing to do or if I will regreat it but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the info I have received from this web site. I will still be reading it everyday and see how everyone continues the debate over the 2004 S.

Part of the reason I traded it in was due to the fact that it got hit in the front, needed new tires and back wheel ( too close to a curb) but mostly the fact that I learned stick on it and the clutch was a little beat. I did get 21,200.00 for it w the hardtop, not great but could have been worse up hear in CT especiall sine the Infiniti dealers are not very forth coming w the 2004 G35 6 speeds.

Unfortunetly I brought it back in today to have the dealer detail it and now the car has scratches and 2 gouges on the hood, door handle and trunk and since it is black it shows everything. Not Good and I hope they own up to it and take care of it for me since the car only has 500 miles on it. Oh, and by the way the painting process they use does create quite a bit of orange peel as everyone has said.

Congrats Mike! Keep us posted on how you like the G35, I'm looking at it as my possible next car - not right away but maybe after a year when my lease ends.

Other than the paint issues it is a great car. Sure Mas, anytime. I can tell you one thing I miss the tight ride of the S. The G35 is quick and smooth but I do feel a bit detached from the driving experience compared to the S2000. The S is a great car, and this is a great forum
