Trunk rack
Have any of you purchased a trunk rack for your S2000? I know I will need more space than the trunk allows if we are travelling!
I've seen some on line, but figured I'd ask the "experts."
On another previous topic, my daughter in law received her deposit check back from the deal gone bad the other night.

Strategic packing

I've gone away for a week in my S with a passenger and golf clubs! Trunk was full to the max and on the return trip... since we were bringing home new toys and soveniers... we couldn't put the top down... we had to use the rear deck (where the softop folds into) as additional storage space

But it can be done!
Pack lightly? That will take some doing!
While packing I often take things "just in case."
I guess some duffle bags will do. If we need to tote beach chairs, I did find a truck rack on line. Here's the link if anyone is interested.

Hey, common you guys. Us more "mature" members remember all the old British sports cars with Ammco luggage racks. That used to be one of the few mods you could buy for your sports car.
The rack you are looking at doesn't even bolt on to the car, it has straps and can be removed. So even if you don't like the look, it isn't permanent.
I would just be extra careful about the paint under those "protective" rubber lined straps. Make sure both surfaces are VERY clean before you put it on. Any dirt on either surface will act like sandpaper.
If it were me, I'd put several coats of wax or Zaino on the car's trunk first, and do a little 10 or 20 mile test trip with one bag on there before loading it up and putting a 100 miles on.

I recently bought one from the board member. I have not mounted it yet but looks well constructed. to prevent scratches, I was thinking of putting some 3M clear tapes on the part that hooks over the trunk lid.
