Turbo tech weekend
As we all know, Erick bought a Greddy turbo kit for his car. After he does some prep work, he will be ready for the install. Erick plans to do this himself at his home garage and has graciously agreed to make this a weekend long tech event for the club.
Although we do not have a date for this special event, I thought I'd start a thread on the subject to gauge interest and think about ways to use this event to get more people to participate in club activities.
I figure Erick will plan the install and some of us will volunteer to help him with the prep and the install itself. I'll be glad to lend a hand if needed. It would be great if others stepped up to volunteer to coordinate food and drinks so Erick can focus on the install and not worry about playing host.
I think this event will be very interesting for a large percentage of our membership. And even those who don't care about turbos or tech days might be drawn to the event if we can have an interesting social element that doesn't distract from the install.
So let us hear your thoughts on this meet. What are folks willing to do, and how can we best use this event to increase participation and membership?

BTW Erick,
I still have the oil pan that Scott welded a bung onto for my turbo oil return line. Since I am still a few months away from doing my install, I was wondering if you wanted the pan I have so you can make your return more permanent than what Greddy gives with their kit. Then, I can just take your pan when you take it off and I can have Scott weld another bung on it.

Good question on "when"
I'm interested and would like to see the install but it will depend on the date(s) and other things going on.
Assuming it's on a good weekend for me, please let me know what I can do to help... like clean the bathroom?
or bring for food/drink?

I would be more than happy to help, however, I'm needed. I'd like to help with the install as this is something I'm also thinking about doing. I just need to know when to see if there are any conflicts on the calendar.
The date will depend on when Erick is ready. He has to send parts out for coating and do some prep work which some of us may help him with. I will let Erick tell us what his time table looks like.
