Default Turkey Day

So who is cooking, who is visiting Mom, Grandma, or other family? Anyone going out to dinner?

We are dining at home with our son and his family. Rick is starting prep work now. He said it's a one person job.

I'll toss the turkey in the oven in the AM and wait for the house to smell like Thanksgiving.

In my book Thanksgiving> Christmas!

Steph will start slow cooking around 0300-0400 in the morning. House should be smelling mighty fine by the time I get up!

6:00 PM? I guess you skip the nap and go right to bed after dinner.

When I was a kid, we ate by 1:00. We generally serve dinner by 2:00, though in the past it was later to accommodate Rick's Dad who sometimes had to work on Thanksgiving.

Entertaining 9 guests at home. Barbara's back went out on her on Sunday, so I just picked up the whole shabang at Roche Bros. We'll probably start cooking at 10:30 or 11:00. It is pretty much a reheat operation. I just hope it doesn't get dried out.

Some of the +1's side of the family will be over for turkey around 2-3 pm. I get to miss the prep by being at work.

Heading out soon for a bike ride, then my family is heading over to my parents house (only 1.5 miles away). Should be around 20 or so there for the day. Should be nice to see everyone, but it'll be more like a Stop & Shop Thanksgiving. My mother doesn't cook, she heats things up.
