U. S. Flag
Ok all Flag day is coming up June 14th here in the U.S.A. Do you fly a U.S. flag? Do you fly a military flag or a state flag. Are you patriotic? Seems like I see less and less U.S. flags being flown nowadays. I will start My plus one and I proudly fly the U.S. flag outside our home. Also as a sidenote if you have a christmas tree shop near you they have a great deal on american flags right now 5x7 cloth for $7.99

I do not, my father would be mad at me if I did not take it down every night and I don't feel like running a light all night.
Nope, I don't fly a flag because I don't own one. I have a little flag holder next to my door that has sat empty since I bought the house. If the house came with one, I'd leave it up, but going flag shopping just hasn't risen to the top of my list of things to do yet. Besides... a few other people on the street have their flag flying already and I think that's probably almost enough to remind the other residents what country they're in.
On a side note here, i dont want to see this thread get all political I can see the chance of that happening My purpose of asking is I dont see a lot of flags flag day is coming up in a month and you have time to buy one if you want to fly one for flag day. So lets keep the thread non-political Thanks!

Your Dad is a true patriot! I'll admit I fly mine 24hours but its illuminated partly by a solar light does this count?
It's all about cause and effect, you are making the cause to give it illumination.
Yes he is.
WWII Naval Officer.
He was on the front lines his whole term because as a machinist he went to where things were broken.

No intent of going political here...
We don't have a flag. I thought of having a flagpole installed to fly the flag that draped my Dad's coffin (WWII vet), but that's a big flag that would require a large flag pole, it wouldn't work in my front yard.
So, no flag. If you fly the flag, do it properly with the respect it deserves.
I get annoyed when I see flags that are tattered and torn, or flying in the rain or at night without lighting. Zippy/Dave,
for flying the flag, but make sure there's plenty of light on that flag.

Can I ask another question?
How do people feel about flying a flag 24/7 without a night light - is it better to fly a flag and not have the night light, or just not fly a flag at all?
I'm starting to think maybe flying one is better than not, eben though it may not be displayed perfect; after all, my birthday is coming up before Flag Day as I was born on Memorial Day.
