Well, all I remember of HS graduation was being brutally hot in a suit under cap and gown in the stifling heat of the auditorium/basketball court and a reception line in the cafeteria downstairs. That and Bobby Kennedy having just died. I doubt there'd have been much jubilation even if that had been allowed.
I think the superintendant at Bonney Eagle was a genuine twit. Next year's class, if she's still there, should all stand after the last person gets his/her degree and give her a nazi salute.
