Every man for themselves!

If the prices go up and business goes down, people will cry that they are out of a job if/when walmart closes. What's that old saying? "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

I know some one wished he had a son after having 4 daughters.
So his wife said ok for another shot. (no puns intended)

She got home from the ultrasound and said I have good news and some bad news.

Whats the good news? he asked. Wife said "Yes you are having a son"

After a few minutes of cheering he finally asked, "whats the bad news?"
"You have 2 more daughters!" replied his wife.

i know some people who do work at walmart and i bet if you asked them they would give you great service

also i would say that many walmart employees do work their way up the corp ladder - which is something that many companies do not offer anymore

so i am for walmart and against walmart at the same time

i too love low prices BUT i know walmart has the power to demand it from the suppliers which in turn move jobs overseas

walmart used to be all about Made In America - not anymore

they have an excellent supply chain that is unmatched by any company

but they put the mom & pop stores out of business

but as jeff said every man for himself - heck i recall when sears was the walmart - it all cycles and i suspect we will see another company take over as top retailer someday

heck i used to be a republican too

Steve, do you have any figures on what percentage of their items for sale are from over seas?
