Default VTEC lost its kick

Seems like i couldn't get the VTEC kick out of my car yesterday. Did I break something? Anyway to check? Or would a check engine light appear? I am do up for a oil change in 700 miles, and since it was dark couldn't check my oil after i took my car out.
I will be attending the car wash the 7th so maybe someone can diagnois my problem... (I will go check my oil now)

I'm hoping the engine was warmed up when you got to the point of putting your foot to the floor?

either way it doesn't matter - I'd so both

first check the oil then whack the map sensor a few times with the back of a screw driver..

Have you thrown a check engine light? Is your maintenance light on?

Many report that if you don't have three bars on the temp gauge that Vtec won't engage. Was the engine warmed up?

Bad bad bad. Does no one have any mechanical sympathy? You're engine is screaming in pain as it sits there idling every morning. Can't you hear it???
