I would never move down to Florida or Georgia way too hot! I like the Carolinas. Charlotte or Research triangle would be my option!

My wife and I own land in Myrtle Beach, SC and are planning to build a house and move as soon as we find jobs there.

We think about moving after every Noreaster!

However, every time I have analyzed the situation the occasional snow storms are the only complaint we have here. On the other hand, there are so many great things about living in NE.

Finding jobs in the new place is also a concern, specially if you're married with both of you working cause then you need to worry about finding two jobs. It sucks that MA unemployment law has changed now and does now pay a spouse who decides to relocate with their husband/wife. I guess it's a question of $$$ and in the long run not a big issue as long as both can find work.

From a work/weather point of view, the only other place I would care to move to would be CA. Maybe I'll think about this after a couple years, right now is not a good time to be looking for not one but two new jobs!

Anyone here lived in CA before? How does it compare? All my friends there (mostly in IT) complain about their daily commutes and I wonder how it can be any worst than the commute here?

In the South Now
Arrived in Atlanta Friday night!!
<(Guess I need to change the State in my avatar)
I'll have photos of my move once I get them uploaded.

Rained the whole truck drive down , but Sat & Sun have been incredible.
Wish I could have been out enjoying it in the S, but I've been busy
unpacking. (plus the Hardtop is still on)

The roads are so much better down here. Since they never see a snowplow
there are hardly any bumps or holes. Much more conducive to sports car driving.

If you have the means, I highly recommend it!

I've been wanting to move out to Cali...

Just want to build up my resume before I do... and wait for my younger siblings to grow up a bit before leaving them.

The third youngest one just got a full scholarship to Bryn Mawr and the youngest is just 2 years away from college. Soon, very soon...
