What to do before spring?
Personally, I think 16 SUCKS BIG TIME! And it's not because I lost $$ -- I couldn't care less about losing $20 bucks and, frankly, I'd rather lose another $20 bucks to play a more thoughtful game.
The rules are set up in such ways that almost no strategy is involved - every game was a race to win any thoughtless hand, no matter how small b/c there's no restriction. There's no tatical analysis of what your opponents trying to do b/c every hand is of mixed meaningless and trendless combo's. A walk in the park would've been more exciting and involved more thinking.
16 cards to 13 cards is like an auto S2000 to a manual one - it's lazy, moronic & insulting!
One, and I mean just one, should be more conforming when it comes to group decision.

No, you don't have to learn to play again!!! You play the same way.....just start at 13 cards.....so that leaves 12 additional card for the player to pick up....plus....13 cards is more interesting to play...because...you have more options...since there is more cards that has not be dealt.
Ok, here is my thought, 16 and 13, the way to win money is in different ways. 13 cards, you have more ways to "HU" the cards, but 16 doesn't.. so that makes 16 to be harder to win. Also, the way we count "TAI/F'on" is, if you lose, you pay one for each TAI/F'on you lose, but for you guys, it is double after each TAI/F'on. That makes the money to build up fast in 13. But in 16, when you become a dealer, you wanna win all the way, cuz each time you win when you are dealer, you have 2 extra points. so, the more you win, the more you get... of course, we don't have the limit for each hand. However, I think it is just different to play with..!! Of course, 16 is harder to play and may not be as interesting as 13 for you guys, hey, but I still prefer 16.. huh...
