what should i do?
well i got a call the other day at work from my mom. She said that a citation came in the mail for a parking ticket that was late. It was only a 5$ ticket but because of it being late it went up to 15$! But to top it off when i asked her where the ticket was from she said revere which is up in Boston. I have never even been there in my "s" the ticket has my plate and vin# on it? She keeps tellin me to just pay it but what the FU**

Mail it in disputing it. See what happens.
Explain your situation, I once got 1 of those in the mail from someplace I'd never been to, never heard back after I sent them a letter explaining the situation.
With both the plate and VIN on the ticket, unless you have solid proof you AND the car were elsewhere at the time and date listed, you can't win. You could use work records to show YOU were at you job, but that doesn't prove your car was with you.
I once got a ticket from New Bedford decribing a car I never had but with my plate and explained that I'd never owned whatever it was and it went away.
In your case, suck it up and pay the $15. You'll spend more time and effort challenging it than it's worth.

I and the town of Revere thank you for your donation
I have not received a parking ticket in Revere, but here's how it works in Boston: if you send the ticket (letter in your case) in for dispute, they make a decision on whether they'll dismiss the ticket based on your written explanation alone. If your explanation is deemed valid, they'll dismiss the ticket and send a letter to notify you as such. If not, they send a letter to you for a hearing date. You have the option then to either appear for a hearing or pay the ticket.

okay guys, got a ticket for doing 48 in a 30 today on comm ave in boston, near bc. cop said it was a 30 mph zone and showed me the radar gun. gave me a 180$ ticket. i was nothing but polite to him, but i did not see a posted speed limit, so i circled around and tried to find it, i guess i didnt go back far enough, (past where i orignally turned onto comm ave!) cause i didnt see the sign, asked the officer, he said it was by the bc church??? i never saw the sign cause i turned on comm ave after the church, road seams like a 40-45 mph road, so now i got a 180$ and my perfect driving record is going to be screwed. Any advice? this sucks!
