Do two year old kids like to go shoe shopping?
To me, the issue isn't so much that he's almost 2, it's that he's got a Y chromosome. That automatically means he has zero interest in shoe shopping. However, if you buy him some fun distracting toy, you could probably drag him anywhere you want and he wouldn't care. Especially if said toy is shiny or has flashing lights on it. (Note, the previous advice applies to men of all ages as well)

Go wax the kitchen floor
I don't think you were around for the wax incident at my house but I can give you the cliff notes.

I had just waxed the car and used a new MF to buff the paste. Sarah uses the same rag to wash our floors that night leaving a nice coat of Meguires on our wood and tile flooring.

I step off the carpet, onto the tile and my feet come right out from under me. Bam down I go and take some huge bruises with me.

Outstanding, floors must have looked great when you and your bruises got down there close to them...
