I'm not that concerned with weight it's not like I'm racing or anything.

I'd take more weight and a more durable windshield.

Thanks for getting that info. Matt! How long have you had yours? How
many miles on it? how's the pitting so far?

We had ours replaced two years ago. The pitting was bad, as Jerry said, in the sunlight it was terrible.

Rick wasn't 100% happy with it, as the gasket or whatever it is called has a couple creases. The guy offered to re-do it, but Rick left it alone.

Mark, what's with NH not covering glass? Is it a separate coverage? If so, it can't be that expensive.

I know in MA they tried to talk folks into putting on a deductible for glass several years ago. I'm sure some fell for that, we didn't. The savings in premium was less than $20.00/year.

We have full coverage for glass under the comprehensive (fire, theft, damage) portion of the policy.

Not even an option in NH...you pay for your own glass.

Weird, but hey, you don't have sales or income tax.

Mine has also been replaced. Many times!!!

From what I know there are 3 different replacements for the S

Asahi, Pilkington and OEM is PPG

My replacement was a ppg but the installers messed it up so out it came, long story short they messed it up multiple times. The end result is I know have a pilkington in there.

Dont fret chip resistence blah blah blah, the real problem with the S is the rake and height of the windshield. It catches all the pebbles and rocks. The cars design really puts the glass at a disadvantage. Get a glass put in make sure its done right and drive on. Your going to get it done again anyhow eventually if you own the car for any period of time. Also make sure they change both seals.
