Default Wings and Wheels pics

I see the Wings and Wheels thread had some views but no comments. In the event anyone is interested, I'm posting the following:

Went to a public event at the Collings Foundation in Stow, MA today. They preserve and fly WWII planes bringing then to various cities now and again. They have a site in Stow, MA. We've been there before. Two good sized buildings. One with cars from the late 20's and 30's, all beautifully preserved or restored. They also have a second building with cars used in various kinds of racing, as well as some old planes.

Today they "introduced" several of the cars to the people who attending, drivers in period clothing too.

They also had two vintage planes which were providing rides, for a price. The planes were taking off and landing on a grassy runway in front of us.

Very cool.

If you are interested, here's a slide show. Easier than posting individual pics.

Lainey, the photos were interesting. Looking at the cars, I could see a progression from a time where the "trunk" was literally a trunk strapped on the back of the car to what we think of as a car "trunk" today.

Thanks, Ed.

It's a neat place in the middle of no where.

I looked at there site and noticed they have a WW2 German Messerchmitt jet plane. I was wondering if it was at the collins foundation.
I want to see one so bad.

Not sure, Fitzy. Most of the WWII planes are on another property. Email them and ask. I think there is contact info on the link.

Mark your calender and check them out on the next open house in August.
