winter storage
OK guys,
as we near the time for the winter nap, I have a question.
Has anybody ever used engine fogging oil when they put the car down for the winter?
On past vehicles, I've had occasion to pull the head when cars have sat for a while.
The piston which had the intake or exhaust valve left open and at least one of each always will be, it always had cylinder wall rust around the open valve. The kind that just eats rings alive.
I don't know if the cylinder walls have gotten better so this is not an issue?
Does the fogging oil screw up the catalytic converter when you finally restart it?
any nuggets o' knowledge out there??

I have the same question. I'm a new owner. I've only had the car a week or so but the muddy streets are killing me so I'm storing it until the weather gets better. I did all the recommended stuff but I wonder about the cylinder walls. When I store my lawn mower I squirt some oil in the cylinder via the spark plug. Does the S2000 deserve any less? Is there any real info out there?
