did you ever wonder if the Marquis de Sade had a furniture division?
they must have gotten the state contract for jury room waiting room furniture.
man those chairs were uncomfortable.

Each time I've been called, I mention that my brother is a former cop, and an uncle was Chief in Brookline. They won't take me. But . . . when I was called for Grand Jury duty (no defense lawyers there) it seemed like the minute they heard of my law enforcement "connections" they chose me. Go figure.

The judge asked me if there was anything that would prevent me from focusing my attention on a ~12 day trial. I launched into a tirade about how my workplace would implode without an IT guy for that long.
