OK, I've got a question.

I work with all men. It's a machine/welding shop. The place as well as the office is very informal.

I had a co-worker in here a while ago. We've worked together (at two places) for 25 years. He's standing there yacking and all of a sudden, he undoes his belt, slightly unzips his pants, so he can tuck his shirt in.

This is while standing right in front of my desk.

I call him on it and I get "What, you didn't see anything."

OK, am I prissy because I think he should have least turned around before doing this?

Maybe this office is too informal.

Sounds like after 25yrs he is just VERY comfortable around you. Although I agree, the office isn't exactly a place to undo a belt and unzip to re-tuck.

Lainey, Funny you should bring this up. We had a co-worker here fired because of this behavior. No questions asked or anything. Basically Security and HR swooped in and fired his ass on the spot.

The story.... This guy goes to the bathroom stalls. Walks out of the stall with his pants to his ankles. Now you can say he was doing it because he needed the mirror for assistance. But he we doing it for a while and soon people realized he only did it when people were actually at the wash basin washing their hands. So he would walk out with his pants undone and basically walk to the mirror and pull up his pants, tuck his shirt, zip and tie his belt.

Well maybe in the locker room you can get away with this but not in a corporate setting. Also his excuse to us was that he was fired for too much whoring on the net. yeah right. If that was the case all of us here would be fired.
