Don't get me wrong, I love the s2000! Heck my 2004 is my second s2000 so I must like something about it. The s2000 is a great car to drive. It's light, fast, lots of fun in the corners, and attractive to boot! For a driver it is an amazing vehicle that was priced perfectly.
Unfortunately my 2004, after 6 years, has under 17,000 miles on it. While I am thrilled with it not racking up tons of mileage, it also means I am not using it nearly as much as my 2002, which racked up nearly 15,000/year.
With looking at the M3 (have yet to test drive though) I like the styling, I like the performance (at least on paper so far), and I think I like the idea that it could feel more of an everyday car. It should be easier to convince the wife to hop in that for 2 hour trip versus the more windy, or noisy, s2000. This is in no way a slam for the S. It delivers exactly what it promises, it is more me looking for something with a better balance between sporty and comfort.
This probably should all move to a different thread -- didn't mean to hijack this one! But any suggestions on the best way to sell an S if I end up there?
PS - Hi all!

Well since you've got an s2000, you could get Rick my Rio yellow and then you would both be happy!
