I am chalking the blowout due to Rockies being rusty. I kinda knew the Rockies, despite their unprecedented hot streak, would run into a wall when they face Beckett but I didn

Stupid question coming up. I watched a bit of the game myself, even though I'm not a fan of baseball. I heard the comment about no D/H in Colorado. Why is that? Please explain as if I know nothing about the sport....

The National League does not have the DH rule, so their pitcher has to bat. In the WS, you play by the rules of the home team. So when in Rockies-land, no DH.

[QUOTE=Legal Bill,Oct 25 2007, 10:04 AM] Your analysis sounds good, but I am taking encouragement from the fact that the Roxs showed no life in the late innings either, and their bull pen was used heavily last night.

We need a good 5 solid innings from Schilling and DiceK, and we need to keep the bats alive. They can't rely on Beckett to bail them out.

The wiley veteran of 41 years against the hot rookie of 23 years. Will the kid get the jitters with so much pressure on him? Will Schill rise, once again, to the momentous occasion? What are your predicitions?

Schill is probably gonzo after this year so hopefully he gives 100% tonight. I think he will but you gotta wonder if knowing you're going to be let go at the end of the season...

Anyways, the game I am looking forward to is game 4 with Lester on the mound. Would be cool to see him rock the Rockies in the post season after his long medical ordeal.
