Post Yuengling!

I'm gonna be in PA this weekend and might be able to bring back a case or two. Anyone interested? I can't promise as it won't be my car or my trunk, but I don't think my buddy would have a problem with a little transportation of booze over state lines.

Jeff, Steve, I'm looking at you guys. I could deliver them at either brewing or bottling events in December.

God, i love that beer...I just run to NY when I want it. They sell it there now, but it's not the $17/case of bottles I used to get it for in PA

Kris! I'm in! Thanks for the offer! I'd be happy with cans to save space.
I'm not picky......I just love beer. The more the better!

I remember growing up in Georgia and the big thing was Coors because it was illegal.
Damn revenuers and their Liquor Tax!

Then smoky & the bandit came out.

Now you can buy Rocky Mountain Piss everywhere!

Wonder how long it will take before Yuengling is in every supermarket?

Kris,

You going to the Great Brews of America Beerfest?

Or is this a non-beer related trip, and just an opportunity to get Yuengling.

It's not an "official" beer trip. I went to Lehigh University for my undergrad and grad schooling and there is a giant rivalry between us and Lafayette College in football. It is in fact the oldest collegiate football rivalry in the States.

Needless to say, it is an enormous tailgating opportunity... and, yes, that involves a lot of beer. So on my way back with my buddies I was just gonna throw a few cases in the trunk because I know it's hard to get around here. Interestingly enough, it's not my favorite beer by a long shot. Just something to remind me of home. You could say I grew up on it!

I'll try and get at least three cases in to my friend's trunk, and I'll get them to everyone in December!

Sadly, you are asking the wrong person. My preference for beer taste is consumability. I generally prefer beer that is on the lighter side.

But more than anything......I like cheap. My problem is that I can kill serious amounts of beer......and the premium labels really start to add up $ wise. If my wife and I stopped imbibing, I'd probably be driving an NSX.

To answer your question......Yuengling is a regional favorite with a long history. I love the stuff. The package store I lived near in Philly store sold a 6 pack of Yuengling pounders for 3.75. I certainly like it more than lots of the other large labels.

I think it has a great balance of taste, price and ease of consumption.

Hey Steve,

Rick drank a fair amount of this beer when we went to Florida last spring. He didn't think it was bad, and it was cheap or does inexpensive sound better?

Now a question for you. When are you gonna give the poor donkey or mule in your signature line a break. Poor thing is being beat to death.............and those other things in your signature line.....where do you find this stuff?
