OK, update:
I had no luck getting beer back here. As it ended up, we had to bring a grill. It took up the entire trunk disassembled, and left no room for any cases (unless we put them on our laps for 5 hours...) So, sorry guys, I couldn't get any. Not even for myself! I wouldn't have made the offer unless I thought I could, but as things do, they changed at the last moment.
Next time I drive my car home, I will deliver!
