Did you ever get your cheese grader in a coffee can back on the road, or did your apt. manager tow it and the parking structure it was chained to?

P.S. - one of my front bearings was seized in the knuckle...took my 12-ton press and a 4 pound sledge to get it out. Yours were much easier for whatever reason.

Obviously, it's your call. For my application, it made sense. I have a bunch of pics of it, if you're interested. My exhaust got noticeably louder when I added a 200 cell/square inch cat and removed the stock cat. I used to top out around 90 dB at WOT and 50'. Now it's 97 dB at WOT and 50', which is a very significant change. When I had the stock cat, it was very streetable and decent for daily driving. With the HFC, I would not want to daily drive it.

I also built a 3" aluminum cat-back that dumped the exhaust at the rear axle. With the HFC installed, I registered 102 dB at WOT and 50'. It was literally painful when I was accelerating next to a concrete wall on an on-ramp, i.e., it would make me and a passenger wince when it was in VTEC. WAY too loud...

So its not too loud with the standard cat and the exhaust chopped?

HFC, chopped OE catback, 97 dB

HFC, 3" AL catback, 102 dB

I don't have a video of the stock cat with the chopped OE catback using the same camera/mic as the two videos above. Here's one with a Sony point and shoot...

Stock cat, chopped OE catback, ~90 dB
