Default Help

I started this three in the under the hood section. But thought I'd post here too.

I just bought an AP2, and car is flawless, except something doesnt feel right, I thought maybe cause I just came from a Evo it was in my head.
Here is the problem, When I accelerate hard and release the rear end feels loose. Like it moves to the side a little. But under soft accel it doesn't do it. Thought for sure it was tire pressure but it was 32 all the way around. Shocks feel stiff and the car isn't bouncy at all. Thank you all for your help.

Well, you said the tire pressure is good, new tires.
So that leaves that culprit out. (Expierenced and figured that one out).

Have the diff fluid changed and see if you have any metal shavings in it, or more than it should.

I noticed the same thing a couple of months ago - after I installed new Michelin Pilot Sports on the rear and kept the OEM Bridgestones on the front (plenty of rubber left). I was cruising south on I-25, and when I accelerated to pass a truck, someone suddenly pulled out in front of me and I had to let off the gas quickly. The rear then started to break (think it was to the right). Easy to correct, but it sort of took me by surprise. Asymetric front and rear tread patterns and differences in tire stickiness were probably the culprits in my case. duh
