LESS UNDERSTEER?
I occasionally compete SCCA, and I have noticed a good bit of understeer. I am looking for your knowledge of ways to increase grip on the front tires.
I'm sure this has been beat to death before, but please bare with me.
TIRES? brand or size?
swaybars?
CR suspension or springs and struts?
Any help would be appriciated.

You can run 225s on the front on the oem wheels without problem and that can help the nose stick.
But normally, this car tends toward oversteer...you may be over driving into the corner. Remember the auotx rule for quick times: Slow in...fast out.

your right. I may be over driving the car. I still do good times, just while driving the car it feels like it needs more traction on the front tires. And it has a lot of tire noise!
I though it was just a simple stock tire brand. I was thinking of upgrading to a high end tire like sumotumo or something.
I mean the suspension of the stock car is great, the mild understeer is the ONLY thing i have found i wanted to change.

I always thought the re050s were mid range. I always ran Falken Azenis so never really looked at the high end.
There is just a lot of tire squeeling going around tight turns. Oh well i guess i can get used to it. Maybe just a bigger tire up front.
The camber suggestion is good as well. I know adding a degree of negitive camber would increase grip as well.
What type of camber kits are available? balljoint or control arm?
Thanks for your input.

Axenis are better in the dry...and the new RE01R. But the down side is wet performance and tire life. I've been through two sets of Azenis and now have my first set of RE01Rs...the best I got out of the Azenis was about 7k miles. I think I'm going to be lucky if I match that with the RE01R.
The RE050PP should last 12-15k. Overall, their performance is not midrange...but it is one step down from the Azenis and RE01R in the dry.
You don't need a camber kit for the s2k. Camber is adjustable both front and rear.
An alignment would be a good idea. Even off the dealer lot, new cars are sometimes not aligned correctly.

What to me the tyre size to use? My disks 8.5 F and 9.5 R , camber - 2.1 f & -3 rear...
alot of people use rear ap1 wheels all around, and 255s
I used 235/45 front, and 255/40 rear But I am not happy, the problem in camber ???Earlier I used 215/45 and 235/40 (to all R17),wheels 7.5 f and 8.5 rear It seemed to me that is better. camber -2 all 4 wheels
