Ok, so i've been here since dec.08 and have not attened one s2k meet cause there's none where i live...i'm only like 1 of 4 s2ks around here but none of which are on this forum. Where do u guys meet and how far is it from Holloman AFB??

 

hey man. thats a bummer to hear. i just mapquested that stuff and your looking at like 200 some odd miles out here so about 4 hours at the spped limit, but who does that. We have been talking about doing a long drive comeing up and maybe we will be able to swing past your area so you all can join up with us. Maybe a drive to White Sands and throguh Lincoln Nat. Forest then to Las Cruces and stay there overnight and then drive back to Abq. or where ever else. Looks like we might be able to pull in the Roswell guys for that also.

 

thats cool. I could meet up with u guys in ruidoso..its only 2hrs from here. I've never done a s2k drive before so it will be a good experience for me.

 

good deal another s from around the way, there are a few of us that are going to be putting on alot of drives this coming spring/summer. we are trying to get new members and new ideas for our little car club we have going here, so im sure more times than one we will be driving around your part of the woods.

 

I'm leaving for afghanistan next month, so hopefully i can get one s2k drive in before i leave. But i'll be back maybe sept./oct. time frame.

 

thats a bummer man. i doubt we would get everybody together by then. and when you get bak its " too cold" to drive so im not sure. but then again im not the orgnizer so jerry might be able to pull a drive soon. fo sho. good luck going over there.!

I am a retired MSgt living in Alamogordo. One of my friends from Alamogordo also drives a S2000, a yellow '05. We do not do car meets but we are part of an autocross club in El Paso and race about once a month. We normally have 3-5 S2000s at the races. I think i've seen you driven around once or twice. There's a blue s2k around the area, dont think he's on this forum, but yeah i've seen a NFR one (possibly yours) and a sebring silver on base..just glad i'm not the only s2k. We should do like a small meet or something, like a drive to las cruces or ruidoso or something. I just wanna cruise with some other s2k's before i leave
