Default The new one.

So, I've been eyeing a few s2000s in the for sale section and this one caught my eye.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=489909

I thought I'd get some feedback from you guys before I decide. I've asked him whether I can buy the car as-is with everything on it in the pictures. I'm assuming it's everything listed in his sig plus a tanabe exhaust and a duckbill spoiler; I'm still waiting for a response from him to clear up what is and isn't on the car. He's letting me have it for $18k.

I'm hoping silentdancer gets a chance to part out his car, I want his brakes. I'll probably replace the interior with my red interior, and if I end up not buying those brakes, I might be on the look out for a cheaper turbo kit or a comptech sc.

--

On a side note, I've been emailing a guy about a modded 2001 Spa. I'm not too crazy about the color, but it's got: 17" Black LE37Ts, Borla exhaust, Vortech SC, glass rear window, OEM hardtop, K&N filter, and a new headunit. This one is at around 36k miles, and he says he sell to me for $22k. I'd most likely try and get it lowered, and spend the rest of my time getting used to the color.

I'm definitely in favor of this one because it has low(er) miles, and the glass window; the plastic window is the only reason I don't want to get anything older than an '02.

Keep in mind that I'm not going to be taking this whip to college with me; my uncle's promised me his 2005 S500 for college. So that means that I'll only be driving this for the next year or so and the next couple summers. My parents don't care to drive my car, so they won't be putting too many miles on it. What I'm trying to get across is: there isn't going to be many more miles on this car in the next 4-5 years, so should I even worry about the miles?

Tell me what you guys think.

Edit:

Here's a pic of the Spa

then again a supercharger would be a blast!

I agree with you completely. I'm really likin' the idea of a supercharger, and it's why I would be considering getting one for the Sebring, if I get it, later on.

I added a pic of the Spa. If I buy the Spa, I won't have a lot of money left over; I really need to do some extra work to the Spa to make it totally tolerable. In my mind it needs to be lowered with those wheels, and my parents are emphatic about me getting it completely checked out concerning reliability if it has a supercharger.

My gut is leaning towards the Sebring, and my parents are in favor of it too; right now it's winning...

Probably not. Maybe in a year, but even then most likely not.

I'm fond of the look of the S with a hardtop, and when I leave, my Dad, the then primary driver, would probably prefer the hardtop even on the best top down weather days.

The thing is I most likely won't be getting the Spa. You could try the current owner and see if he'll part with it if he doesn't have a buyer who wants it as-is. His username is 01S2kSC.

Well, I'm pretty much set on the Sebring. He's gunna send me some more in depth pictures to show me everything. I'm trying to find a shipper, since I don't have time to drive out to LA and back - if anyone's got some suggestions let me know, soon!

I should have it in the next three weeks or so.
