I met a guy named Jerry with a NFR from El Paso, is that you? Any how welcome to the NM forum, I noticed there wasnt a west texas forum either and have put some cards on a few s2000's from El Paso to check this forum out. I live in Ruidoso and go to El Paso frequently maybe we get together for a drive sometime.

By the way, there is another member on the forums that lives in EP, he has a silver s2k with some mods he goes by JLuda. Do a search for him in the gallery, I think he gets together with some other Honda guys for drives.

If any of you El Paso S2000 drivers are interested we have an Autocross taking place on 16 September at Cohen Stadium. So far we have three regular S2000 drivers that run at the events. Feel free to come out and race or just watch if you would like.

Cohen Stadium is the big baseball stadium on the North East side of town off HW 54 and loop 375. We make our runs in the big parking lot.

I have been autocrossing there for the last 12 years. I used to Run my GTIs and I still have an '04 TL 6-speed that I used to race. The S2000 was baught mainly as a tool for my autocross racing but I have found it sure is fun for everyday driving.

You will find autocrossing to be a ton-o-fun; it is one of the easiest ways to really drive the car to it's limits.

Hope to see you there.

Very cool.

We have had these two S2000 guys(silver 03, Yellow 05) racing together for the last few years. I was still racing my TL early this year when the guy with the Yellow 05 asked me to drive his S2000 so I could give him some pointers. Well, that is all it took and I knew I needed to get an S2000 too. Since I have started racing a S2000 our race class has become the largest group; it would be great to have a fleet of S2000s out there.

Our parking lot is one of the largest autocross lots in the Western US. (at least that is what I read a few years ago from the SCCA Sports Car Mag). It is more like a small road course instead of tight parking course so it is usually fast and always fun.

Feel free to invite any of your racing buddies too. The more the merrier.
