Default Santa Fe/Albuquerque Pro's

You can read more about my new '03 Silverstone on the Introduction page under Noob from New Mexico but wanted to post this here as well.

Is there anyone here from the Santa Fe or Albuquerque area that really knows S2000's that I could talk to and have drive mine and tell me if everything sounds and feels right?

I'm in Taos but can drive to Santa Fe and/or Albuquerque.

Regards.

There are a handful of people around NM that know S2000s inside and out. I'm in the Abq area and have a pretty decent understanding of most things S2k.

Is there any reason to suspect something is wrong with your car? Clunks, vibrations, abnormal noises? Do you have any of the service history for your car, other than oil change records? With 43k miles on the odometer, you should have a lot more to go before encountering any serious problems, assuming the previous owners took reasonable care of the typical maintenance requirements.

I'm in ABQ and know quite a bit as well. As noted above, your new S is practically new and no major issues should be happening.

Welcome by the way.

NMRADO also

No, nothing readily apparent but would just like someone to talk S's with and glean any "real" info, take a look at her, listen and let me know what I should be doing other than changing out fluids etc., if anything. Ordered some ATE blue and want to flush clutch and brakes and after hearing about losing wheels also ordered some Gorilla locks. I've spent hours on the net reading and a lot of time on this site but would like to talk with someone who has owned one for awhile. I'll contact you off site and maybe we can get together in Alb. I don't get down there too often but I may be down the 20th to get my Florida CCP added to my NM (and no I am not one of those radical idiots) but the security is nice.

I DRIVE when I drive but don't abuse. But I didn't buy this car to drive 55. The road from Taos to Angel Fire I found out is a blast when you don't have an RV in front of you because there are precious few places to pass. A lot of shifting though which I love. The rev matching is beyond belief when you hit it right on. Sorry but guess I am doing what Bruce alluded to about "glory days."
