Default VIS=Garbage

Well as most of you know, I had to get my bumper replaced because of the tire that hit me I ordered the VIS Techno type R and let Melloy Dodge start working on it. (By the way, Melloy is awesome, customer service and quality work are amazing. Anyways, since VIS Racing wants nothing to do with me or customer satisfaction, I am going to slam them hard. Here are a few Pics of the horrible fitment right out of the box, Melloy said I am out about $200-$300 bucks on body labor. I Know every bumper is not a perfect fit but WTF!!!

It's a replica so it shouldn't be a surprise. Were you expecting OEM fitment from VIS? Next time buy authentic and save urself the headache.

OEM Fitment? As my last statement said, I know every bumper is not a perfect fit. Replica or not, there should be a standard on quality control. I expected slight modification, not 4 hours of body labor.

OEM is the only way to go in regards to body pieces unless you're ok with doing the work to make it actually fit... sucks, but that's the sad truth.

I know a little bit about what costs are involved when manufacturing a large scale injection molded piece, like a bumper. It's insane VIS wouldn't have wanted to make sure the part they were manufacturing fit better than that... I'm with Ammon on this one

HaHaHa this make me feel old. I remember my first body kit from wings west back in 99 or 2000 and was like WTF this doesnt fit After spending the early 2000`s re fiber glassing countless body kits, shaving door handles, and doing tail light conversions I can say OEM is all I fu$k with these days! Looking back now at the pictures me and my buddies just laugh at what we use to do but it was cool back then plus we had some of the first swapped hondas in abq... I will have to try and post up some pics one of these days of some of my old cars. lol I would say send it back for a refund and go OEM...

Well I guess I can say I did learn a lesson.however the reason I bought it was to differ from all the OEM cars. My insurance is covering the repairs and i'm in a rental car (Hyundai sonata) lol so I don't have time to return it. I'm sure after the body work is done to it, it will look pretty good. The extra money isn't going to kill me as long as i'm satisfied with the outcome. I still firmly believe companies should take more pride in quality of work though.

Yeah I'm sure it will come out nice. VIS has been around forever so I'm suprised that they don't have better customer service and quality... hope it turns out good and post pics when its done...

Thats shocking, almost all the VIs sponsor threads on here praise VIS customer service. Did you buy it from a sponsor on here?

i cant see the pictures on this work computer but I have a feeling the dealership is just not that great at installing aftermarket products. thats why i installed all my own parts and If anybody needs custom or aftermarket parts installed i recommend a body shop that does shuch things. A regular dealership expects to throw it on and call it good, which is not always the case.

With all my body panels in CF and 4 different companies i never really had a major fitment issue, just had to work with a few panels a lot more than expected.

text me pics and ill see if i can tell you what the problem is.
