Default Anyone have adverse effects to removing CDV?

So I'm going to pull the CDV on my car this weekend, with being boosted I find myself with a slipping clutch too many times between fast shifts at highway speeds. In reading some of the threads I've seen people claiming its lead to their diff going. Now for the most part, 99% of the time, I wont be clutch dumping however I'm still a child at heart. I would guess the same holds true with or with out it, just make sure the tires turn over when you dump that clutch and you're pretty much ok. Has anyone here thought that removing the CDV was a bad idea, and if so why?

TIA

I hope you will be getting a lightweight or AP1 flywheel too!

I actually have all the pieces for a replacement clutch including the AP1 flywheel but having it installed isnt on my agenda yet.

Ok so what's the consensus here, not to do it until I replace my clutch?

Absolutely. Wait until you have the new stuff in.

So what's the downside to doing it now? Basically I feel like I'm wasting my stock clutch with it in and I'm certainly not replacing it while its still working 95% of the time.

A supposedly inferior AP1 owner asks, "what's a CDV?"

When I asked Billman the same question a while back he said that if I just removed the CDV without doing anything else, I would cook my stock clutch in a couple of thousand miles. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I trust Billman.

Clutch Delay Valve, its slows down the engagement of the clutch on the AP2's.
