I am considering (I am "on the fence") participating in the Dragon Event. To do so involves a "leave Thursday afternoon, get back Sunday Eve." commitment. It is being held the
Weekend of 9/27....
I have mentioned to several people in conversation that this road is, to me, the end all (not literally )of all roads. It is as close to taking your S through a Disneyworld ride as you can get.... it is intense non-stop action, challenge and fun for about 11 miles, it is more twisties than you can believe or imagine. I have a section of my webpage devoted to it:
http://www.lilaw.info/the_dragon.htm
I went there a couple of years ago with Dan C. and Scott B.(whom none of you know) and we had a very nice time.
If anyone would like to go from the NY Metro Club - it would firm up my decision; I might still go anyway, but with one or two other people it would be a more definite thing.
I intend to take Jackie with me, as she has not been on that road before and I would like for her to experience it. The event is only 7 weeks away -- so the time to decide "yes or no" is upon us. Anyone interested in gong - please raise your hands , or thumbs.

I can only do one The Dragon or Fall Colors so I will have to stick with Fall Colors. For those of you who are anywhere "on the fence" for this I can kick you over. The Dragon is absolutely one of the best roads to take this car. I heard that they just paved it last year so it will be even better. Have Fun Eliot!

Eliot,
I've made the decision that I will do the Dragon once during the time I have the S. This year, the weekend isn't a good one for me.
I'm tentatively planning to attend the Wake the Dragon in the spring.

Wow Eliot, after looking at that link ... I'm seriously thinking about making the run down there. Is anyone else debating this trek? Maybe having a few S2's driving company will help me firm up a decision.
