I think you can have lots of noise after 8AM and before 10PM on weekdays Saturdays I believe its after 10AM and before 10PM and Sunday I'm not sure.

Just a geuss don't hold me to it.

The answer is that yes I could do it here at my place ... no one lives on the south side of me and on weekends there is no one there. I am on great terms with the neighbor on the north and there would be no problem. I think one of the two rear neighbors just moved out, the other would probably not be bothered because of the distance involved. Directly across the street there is a parking lot. I am 250 feet north of one of the busiest intersections in Nassau county, so noise from loud pipes is fairly frequent.

I know of no noise ordinance that would stop this from taking place during reasonable hours.

What is the law really.....is is different then having like buldozers and chainsaws/jackhammers at your house for any given work?

Is there a daytime noise ordinance? Is it different on Sunday?
Totally different, if you had a bulldozer or jackhammer at your residence you would need a work permit. Which allows you to do work during certain hours of the day. I would imagine that there are local municipality laws against such things in a residential neighborhood. My point though is it's better to find out first then take a chance on paying $$$$$ and not being able to get the tuning or baseline dynos done.

Here's the question, what constitutes reasonable hours on a weekend or a Sunday? Also, you have to hook up a water hose to the system, which shouldn't be a problem. I'd imagine you'd be looking for about 3 runs per car that just want a baseline. Each car needs to have it's rear wheels removed and the dyno hub attached. Probably around 45mins a car that doesn't need tuning (giving the cars some time to cool down between runs).

This would make the most sense.

Lenny -- the shop sounds perfect ... and we would get to see where you "hang out" . We can bring our own folding chairs .. don't worry about the surroundings !!

BlueMonde... can you give me some dates? That way everyone can vote on them and I can tell Gilbert something solid.
