Beretta Neos or Ruger Mark III for a .22lr
So I'm looking for my next pistol and its going to be a plinker, I've had suggestions of one of the Neos and my friends uncle loves his Mark II are there any others in the under $300 range you gun guys would recommend? The Brownings were referred as well but on price, they're works of art but $400-600 for a .22 is too much for me.
So spring time, top down and lots of days on the range, what more can anyone want?

I'm still in love my Ruger MKII after owning it for 5 years, tho I'd recommend shooting one before making a purchase. The Luger grip angle isn't for everyone. If that is an issue I would look into the Ruger 22/45. It's the same action, barrel & receiver as the MK series with a 1911 grip angle.

I liked the Walther P22 quite a bit. My girlfriend almost picked it up at the gun show for $400 for the gun, magazine, plus the extra part that extends the frame for target shooting. Then she thought about it and went up to a 380 acp instead for the same money lol.

No pictures of her hand gun. . I need to get a couple though. It's the start of our little collection of firearms.
Edit: Well, it looks like this just without the light.
This is the P22 she almost bought:

Cool thanks, if this snow crap stops I might head over to my gun shop tonight to do some window shopping.
Do to both of those perceived short comings you'll see lots of lightly used MKIIs & MKIIIs for sale on the web and in local stores. If I was in your shoes I'd look around and see what used ones are available before picking up a new one.
Case in point, the black target model in the pic below I found in a local shop for $175.00 out the door.
