Billman Motion S2000 Repair Thread IV
#661
Hey Bill-
My '03 AP1 (mostly stock) is coming up on 72,000 and I'm interested in an overall inspection and fix-it-up. I don't drive it hard but DO hope to keep it for another 72k miles Local Honda shop says that the R frt control arm bushings are starting to tear; that's the only significant item that I KNOW about.
If you can PM me your address (or at least a zip code), I can figure out mileage/TT from Philly. I would like to bring 'er to your shop sometime over the winter; leave it for a day or two; and spend that time visiting friends in SoHo. Is there a subway or train stop close to you that could get me into Canal Street area? Thanks!
Jerry

Billman,
Can you PM me a price for a once over check and for you to replace my tct with one of yours. I had a pretty annoying ticking pop up a few days ago that I just remedied by sanding the worm gear with my dremel (I didnt have a sand blaster) and I know that it will not last long and the tct will eventually need to be replaced. I live down in MD but I was really hoping to get my car a thorough inspection so I am considering the trip. Also let me know if you would be willing to do any Saturday appointments... I can get there nice and early if that helps at all.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just to add I would also like a valve and clutch adjustment (I have the pretty annoying and persistent second gear grind) and also a trans fluid change. My car is coming up on 60k miles and it needs a good going through.

Just had Billman250 work on my 05 AP2 with 45k a few days ago doing all the following:
-Custom valve adjustment, retainer inspection, and spark plug torque check
-Air filter
-cabin filter
-oil change Mobil1 & PCX filter
-diff fluid change with Mobil1 75W90
-trans fluid change with NEW Honda MTF
-clutch fluid change, clutch adjust, and throttle adjust
-front AP1 brake pads
-brake fluid change with ATE Super Blue
-Coolant flush
-Loose 12V outlet fix
-axle/vibration repair
-axle nut tsb
I have to say, billman250 is such an awesome, sincere and professional guy and he really knows his stuff when it comes to the S2000. Driving the 1.5 hour drive home felt just like the first day I took my baby home from the dealer!
Thanks Billman!

I have an amazing body guy that does all my S2000 customers. Many have used him/seen his work on my car and can vouch for the quality.
