Default BMW x5 / x6 m?

http://www.motorauthority.com/bmw-unveils-...-x6-m-suvs.html

WHY?

M used to be a motorsport division...looks like it's becoming just another trim level now.

I guess they thought hey we might as well jump on the band wagon..

To make money, although I don't know if the market for this really exists right now.

Think of Porsche and the Cayenne; it kept them afloat

Disagree... with all of the SUVs out there i'm surprised BMW didn't jump on making an "M" series for the crossover market or whatever you want to call these things.

why not? it's not just a bunch of badging it's got 555HP to back it up... that's "M" power and worthy.

I agree, plus it had handling and other improvements. It's the same arguments that were made when Porsche made the Cayenne...
