Default Clear Bra's (for the car.) Yes or No?

I sold the S2K the other day (very sad). I ended up getting a brand new 08 A4 S Line. I was thinking about possibly getting a clear bra to protect the front of the car from rock chips. I've heard mixed reviews about these things?

Waddya guys think? It costs about 800 bucks installed. Is it worth it? Should I do it?

Thanks for the help.

BTW- I will be posting up some aftermarket goodies for sale for the S2k this weekend.

Just make sure the installer is using true 3M material. Most of the knock-offs cloud up over time.

For $800 I would expect nothing but 3M and a custom install (no pre-cut sheets made to fit your car). $800 sounds a little steep.

Also make sure you wax it with the rest of the car.

I learned all this the hard way and my bra looks like crap. haha

I may plan on getting a clear bra on my car since I just got my whole front end done... I'll let you know what kind of pricing I get.

Yeah I was thinking that it probably costs around 800-1000 bucks to get the front re-sprayed. Should I just do that every few years instead of the bra?

I've seen some "orange peel" on clear bras too. Not pretty.

hm that makes sense...

but i guess if you ever sell your car and you can boast having amazing looking "original paint" then its a good selling point..

i usually dont like to see clear bras on a car, since through time you can see the wax where the bra starts, unless that was just one car that ruined my outlook forever =P
