but once again, were there any engative effects on teh unit itself dan? like do the HID's look any different now after they had been exposed to the head...differnece from the blue to mabye a lighter shade, or did it affect other parts of hte headlight unit at all....or was it 100000% perfect as if u bought a brand new JDM pair....also, do u think the process is reversible

Once again? You never posted the first time so it can't be once again. I didn't heat the headunit with the bulb inside so I can't answer your question. But you do realize that HID bulbs burn at an incredibly high level of heat? As for comparing it to a new JDM pair, we are talking 2 totally different things. I am talking about clearing out the amber piece. The JDM unit comes with a clear piece. If you want to install a clear piece from Rick, it shouldn't look to different and if done right looks about the same. Perfection is in perspective. I think you need to reread the entire thread Anu. Why would you want to reverse the process? It's really not worth the trouble for a $80 part. But I guess you could if you were bored out of your freaking mind.

Edited to answer your second post. You need to just purchase clear side markers, I believe they come with amber bulbs. I don't know how bad the cops are in your area. But I've never been stopped for having clear bulbs.

Dan, I may need to call on your expertise in this project if you don't mind. I have Ricks first run of clear corners, but he is getting ready to sell a set of JDM look-a-likes so I may hold out and pick up a set. I was tossing around the idea of paying my dad's friend to do it (body shop) or go at it myself. Prob is I don't trust myself that much with something as important as a headlight.

Cool Dan thanks. I just ordered the JDM style diffusers from Rick. When they show up I give a holla.
