I love the ACT PP with oem disc. Had it for a year and a half or so now and has never slipped with my sc kit at 12 psi ad probably 25k miles or so now. Drives like stock since the clutch disc IS stock haha.

Thanks guys! I'll start piecing together the parts and will probably install before Pocono. Hopefully the clutch holds for one more weekend at NJMP.

This is completely untrue.

Why would I say they are different?

I assure you, 100%, they are completely different. And I have removed PLENTY of them because the buzz is downright horrible.

YOU were lucky.

Take this to the bank guys, do not run any disc other than OEM from HONDA!

Currently have 110k on my ACT PP/oem disc setup and it still performs like new. And you guys know how I drive the car.

This is the best setup for the car.

I was doing research before I purchased my kit last year and I came across a complete thread about it on s2kca and some people have stated that it was a modified OEM disc. I'm not sure what led them to believe and assume that, but I would rather take your answer instead. Don't get me wrong, it does buzz, but for some reason, it's not as pronounced as some other clutches I've drove. Good info billman

Dealers do not pay shipping on oem parts.

Tell your dealer to put it against their stock order. Whenever it comes in it comes in. Likely 1-3 days.

ANY dealer that charges shipping, even an ENGINE, is ripping you off and you should tell them so.
I did told them why they charging me shipping if they have the part right there... his answer was... ''That's how they make the money... if you dont like it order online''
f@#k the local dealerships..
I was in Honda City parts department the other day to get some injector o-rings, guy says he can get them for $4.50 each.. yeah ok pal
list price is $2.15 majestic sells for $1.51.. even with $8 shipping it was still cheaper from majestic
[/quote]
I've gotten absurd prices from them before. You can just order from estore.honda.com and pay the $2.15 list, and then pick it up at the local dealer. It's worked moderately well for me from Island Acura. I've never needed a small Honda part that couldn't wait for a Majestic Honda order, so I can't say for certain about how well Honda City handles pickups.

I have an AP2 that I am going to replace the clutch set on. Based on the posting here and others I have read I am thinking of going with the AP1 flywheel, OEM clutch plate and bearings, but am undecided on the PP between OEM and ACT. I like a heavier feel to the clutch and didn't find the Boxster S I drove, when searching for the car, to be to heavy at all and it felt heavier than the S2K. I need thoughts on drivability in heavy traffic with monthly AutoX use. If anyone has experience with these setups it would be great to hear your thoughts. (BTW I am not planning on forced induction so that is not a factor in this decision.) Thanks.

Sounds like the ACT is right for you.

Let me know if you need anything ordered Clyde. No shipping charges. Billman is right (as usual) about the ripoff tactics of "shipping and handling".
