Lehigh Valley Run
Sat/Sun March 22, 2009 @ 9:45AM
Lunch @ Platzs (click for website)
38.9 Miles from Allentown to Platz restaurant
23.4 Miles from Platz restaurant back to Allentown/Lehigh Valley ala 476/Northeast Ext
~1.5 hours to do the run (LV -> Platz) (But it may be faster since there is no traffic)
First day of Spring is March 20! Why not start spring with a nice little run in the Lehigh Valley (where there are less nuisances & less traffic), with a fantastic lunch at Platz's followed by a nice run down the Northeast extension where all can zip through the Lehighton Tunnel WOT and all part ways.
Let's go for Sunday instead of Sat.
We definitely have had a record cold winter this year, which seems to push the warmer weather coming in a bit later. If the roads are good by 3/22, definitely would have no problem pushing it back a week or two or more if necessary.
Look at this map. Yummy.

I won't detract you from coming, but I personally, along with many others don't know much about you. So to you, and all the others, hear this loud and clear.
This is not a race, this is not a rally. This is a drive through some great roads in the area. YOU, and YOU alone are responsible for yourself and your car, plus EVERYONE'S safety. Bullshit, crap and antics won't be tolerated, the stakes are too high. Don't tailgate, leave enough room to properly deal with anything that may happen in front of you. It is as simple as that.
We've been fortunate that DV hasn't had many mishaps over the years, but each time we do this, the group in general gets younger and more inexperienced than the year before. The drive is about enjoying the car and company, not about how fast you go or who you pass.

Del Val runs good drives, strange, they just show up on time and drive no body b*tches, it's like it's all about the driving with them or something....
