Default DIY: Paint Shift Knob Numbers

It's a very easy and straightforward DIY free mod. If you have any sisters, a wife, or a mom in the household, or if you're a nailpolish wearing freak you have the supplies for it. I tried touch up paint but did not get the desired effect.

Materials
1. Red or any colored nailpolish
2. Nailpolish Remover
3. Two Paper Napkins
4. Masking Tape (Optional)

Step 1: Clean shiftknob. I used the nailpolish remover since it contains alcohol so it would dry quick.

Step 2: Optional. Mask middle half of shiftknob to the collar to the upper portion of the shiftboot in case of any drips.

Step 3: Take nailpolish and paint it over the numbers making sure you get it in every crevice.

Step 4: Let it sit for 30 seconds and wipe it off with a paper napkin.

Step 5: Take the second paper napkin and dab it with nail polish remover and wipe off the excess nailpolish.

Step 6: Repeat Step 3 as a second coat and repeat Step 4.

Step 7: Remove masking tape.

...I will be adding another coat after seeing my final picture. I am looking for a nailpolish or paint that is less dark. Also, this mod will look much better on the 02+ Shiftknobs with the perforated leather. The OEM TSX 6spd knob appears to be identical to the 02-05 knobs but with red numbering.

Good Luck
