It's legal as long as it's mounted on the front part of the car (not on the dash, etc). So they ticketed you while you weren't even in your car? While it was parked? That's stupid.

Use the tow hook to mount the front plate if you don't want to drill any holes in your bumper. It's easy to take off too if you need to take pictures.

Mine turned out pretty good... I took Catawalks idea and kicked it up a notch. He took the OEM plate bracket off and used the bottom hole that's in the center of the black plastic grill insert. He used one of the existing holes in the plate to mount it so it sits off-center. I did the same thing except I drilled a hole in the top center of the front plate so its dead center in the grille

Yeah I was looking for a good alternative since I got the car. This way the plate sits low, inset, and no extra holes need to be drilled in the car

Saw it on my friends GTR. Easily take it off for shows and pictures.

Not sure if I want to pay like 70 bucks for a license plate bracket tho. Might take the stock tow hook and try to do a home depot job with it.

I made some bracket that I custom CNC'ed out of aluminum into a mini L shape. more of a perfect 90 degree V. I drilled two holes on top and used two nuts and bolts to mount it in the center area but back more. The front side of it I drilled two holes to perfectly match my plate. Although it blocks the center, the plate doesn't sit on the front and is recessed to the rear of the center grille opening.

Quick Reply: front plate.
