Dude, I see you already with the FRS in one ear and the BlueTooth in the other like some kind of cyborg.

I've tried this with my radio which has an oversized large speaker. At 75 mph I can't hear a thing. No I'm not impaired either

Hi guys,
I am looking to purchase a radio system today.. I spoke with Cobra today and they mentioned that in order to get more than 2 miles (FRS) on any radio regardless of manufacturer you need to have a radio capable of GMRS which requires an FCC license... What is everyone using for a standard in the group?

I was just about to mention that.
You technically can get F'ed by the FCC (I think it was like $75k) if you get caught using these, but like, that chance is SOOOO slim to none. They don't really give a crap about a couple of guys with low power GMRS radios.
They are too busy looking for home-made signal amplifiers (the "hackers" of the radio world) that could potentially screw with important things like, airport and plane comm systems.
If you want to be legit, it's like a $50 dollar fee (I think) and all it essentially is you pay them to give you a test to make sure you know where you can't use the radios.
