Got screwed last night
Hey guys i just got a ticket last night at 3 am coming back from Robert Moses beach and i got hit with a radar going at 94 mph on Robert Moses Causeway.... So i need to find a good lawyer who could get the points lowered because its 8 points and possible suspension with going over 30+ over the speed limit. I was going 94 in a 55.
Any one know a good lawyer who can do that? anyone else use a lawyer to get out of any tickets?
thx for the help guys

jeez man, sounds like he threw the book at ya. i dont know of any lawyers, but as far as insurance goes, one speeding ticket has little effect from what im told. it depends on your driving record overall. get a lawyer to knock it down, 40mph over posted speed is steep.

You need a miracle, not a lawyer.
The is NO plea bargaining in Suffolk County. If the ticket say 94, that's what you will get convicted of.
There are ways to work the system. A lawyer can explain it to you, but will likely not be of help on the stand.

I've been to the court in Suffolk about 3-4 times. You'll sit there and watch one person after another get convicted of the exact speed they were doing.
All depends on the court, I'm not sure if you were in any Incorporated Village, such as Islip.
If the ticket says traffic violations on Vets Highway in Happague, there is no plea bargaining. Call any lawyer and ask them.
It is not a court....they have hearings in front of the judge. They are not making deals, they are looking for guilty or not.

I have had plenty of speeding tickets reduced and dropped in many different courts.
Not Vets Highway.
I feel your pain bro. I am headed there in October and will most definitely lose my license.

The only tickets I was able to get dismissed was due to a cop being late and not calling in. My "impeding the flow of traffic" (driving too slow) was a conviction, so I have little hope for your 94 in a 55.
