No, I was just giving that beautiful car a bump and curious how many owners it had.

So the $6K or so in parts was worth it to him to:
1) get bad reputation and have his name and picture associated with scamming and theft
2) screw an automotive shop he is associated with in some way
3) pay a lawyer
4) still look like a douche after all is said and done

That scenario is almost how this played out at the onset of the thread. Things changed quick though.

It's easy for me to say this from my office but I would've gone through the trouble to sue him knowing it's a slam dunk and I'd get damages and attorney's fees paid. I hope this is well on the way to satisfactory resolution for you.
