I'm very surprised that car is still available in that condition at that price!

Too bad? What's airfare from NYC, $150? $300?
14 hours of boring interstate highway on the road back home. (Only 15 via Ontario and avoiding the PA Turnpike.) One day drive for many of us. Heck, Amtrack takes 19 hours to make the trip.

Geographic area (to me) should not be at the top of the priority list if you expect to find a great car. Certainly nice to have nearby but not paramount. Chicago, Atlanta, etc are merely a long day's drive. Leave at 0500, back to NYC by 1900. Easy peasy.

You guys typically recommend a PPI for a car that's long distance? Obviously wouldn't want to buy a car without checking it out in person first. I don't mind driving far as long as i know it would be basically a guaranteed purchase. Plus, ill need to convince someone i know to drive me out there so i can drive the car back home.
