This is really only a feeler at this point. I go just about every Thursday after work and usually one Sunday a month. The range is open till 10pm 7days a week so anytime your down let me know. I'm always in the mood to throw a few hundred rounds of 5.56 down range.

Honestly if your even considering getting a pistol license it I'd jump on it as fast as humanly possible. With a democrat governor in NY and a soon to be democrat president I'd get grandfathered in now. If you need any help with your paper work let me know. You'll also need 4 or 5 character references too, let me know if you need help with that too.

Also I have a Federal Firearms License in the works so soon I can hook metro up on new purchases or FFL transfers from places like gunbroker or auctionarms.

the ebay of guns -> www.gunbroker.com

Thanks bro. You raise some good points. All I keep on finding is the Nassau permit page, where the heck is Suffolk county dammit. The search continues...

in NJ, it's different from town to town but somewhere like Fort Lee, you'll have to fill out the form, including 2 references (family or friend). And then you have to go to local pricint to get an interview. they had specific time you can show up. you also pick the form from local pricint.

Yea in NY you need 4 references and they can't be cops or family and they may need to be residents of the county your applying in. Ontop of that you need to go to police head quarters for the county you live in and take your interview and get finger printed. Which sux for Suffolk because its all the way out in yaphank.

And if you jump through all the hoops in the right order they may mail you a small red post card to come pick up your permit if not better luck next year. Total Cost $350.00 in Nassau County
